Every Indian Idol title is being won by a boy but girls also sing well. What can be the reason for this?

Not just Indian Idol but most of the shows are won by men (where the India's people vote) despite the fact that women are nowhere less and are equally (or maybe more) talented.

This is a really tough and a debatable question and different people could have different opinions, but if you're so keen on finding the answer, you should better conduct a survey in your society and ask the same question to each member of a family. You'll get to a better conclusion.

IMO, its a man's world and many people follow this rule.

If we look upon the history its always the men who have won a contest ,its all because of the voting system....people tend to vote men more than women...

Women are talented but they get to loose due to ..the public voting...In future i hope this gets rectified....

Yes I agree that men rules the world. But there is a famous saying that there is always an exception to the rule and and suddenly I remembered that there is also an exception to the singing talent hunt shows where mostly boys win that is Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs competition where 2 winners were girls in the last 2 years.

Living in a male dominated and a male centric region, this is bound to happen. Actually there can be no satisfactory answer to this query but yes, generally males are preferred, that is the psyche.

Looks like thats in our blood,that we always like men winning contests.

not anymore.. Sourabhee won this editon of the indial idol.. many congratulations to her.. i think she truly deserved to win..

Yes she won the Indian Idol and once again John comes as a Lucky charm as last time happened same thing.

History has not repeated itself....This time a girl won Indian Idol.....Sourabhee looks great and has a good voice....

Girls in reality shows perform best, but i doubt why they don't get good votes from the people. It was good to see Saurobhee winning the Indian Idol title this season. People (Indian Janta) does not votes for girl contestants that is really very bad. There are many times when girls perform best to their male counterparts but still gets lesser votes from the audience. I don't the reason behind.

I noticed this too. I guess the reason behind this is that, men can easily attract audience's heart that's why they usually won in this show.
