Was there no one else left???? There are so many older and deserving people who really have contributed to the film faternity ,Why not they??????

Is it a politics gimmick?????

Its a good news, i'd say. Aishwarya Rai has truely contributed to her field since quite some time now. Even Amitabh Bachchan got this award at the same age.

Ahshay Kumar too has got a Padmashree as well as Kumar Shanu and Shamshad begum..from the film world.

aishwarya rai bachan has contributed a lot to film industry.. she is as good as any other actress in the industry.. but i don't think she deserves a padmashree award yet..

Aish Deserves to get Padmashree ...
She made Bollywood to looked by Holllywood..
Even Amitab got padmashree in early ages as webwizzy said and
If Akshay Gets then Aish really deserved to get..
