Default Digital Camera recommendation

Which digital camera do you recommend for personal use? I am going to travel and I want to buy a digital cam which takes nice pictures and video. Please give me some tips for it.

I would always recommend a digicam by Kodak or Sony Cybershot.

btw, if its just for small personal use, mobile cams are enough

First of all you need to mention your budget and requirement, then only one can suggest anything specific, telling brand name does not going to help you.

Thats a million dollar question
There are hell lot of cameras available in the market and its very difficult to make a decision. I am also in search of a good Point and shoot camera, i already bought and returned 2 cameras last week, one after the other, coz I didn't like them. So far based on my research, this is what I found.

I like canon it is the best one for taking stills.i go for it.it is handy one.IT STARTS FROM 8K I THINK NO EXACT?

well no prize for guessin here..... it should be "SONY" anyday :-)

my brother has a old one but still it can match up to any new product in market today, it has some amzing clarity and picture quality you have to see it to belive it but i have a yashica, it not bad either actually, if you ask me i will buy sony next time around

I like Kodak as they are pretty affordable and they do not compromise on quality as well.
But if u have the bucks buy a Sony.

I have a canon camera.I bought it recently.It has a 7 megapixel camera and a very affordable price.

Cybershote it's good for shooting and capturing a images, Now a days on it good discount is running for buying like, 10% to 40%. It's good image captures to use it.

For Camera recommendation I would say Canon or Sony. These are the two brands that can offer you with great features at comparatively lower amount.
