I dont think the Nano is a good this for India and the World. The Nano is so cheap that India infrastructure will not be able to handle every second person riding the richshaw.errr.. I mean Nano. And the thing with so many on the road will be disastrous for the environment.! And surprisingly when i spoke to taxi driver the other day he told me that even taxi drivers wont pick it up for taxis as they are really small.! Go back Nano.!

Plus I am a greenpeace supporter. We hate Tata for building port endangering the life of olive ridely turtles.! Go back tata.!

I guess that is the reason why there's a limit set on its sales. They must have thought something about it.

I hope it doesn't get loose on the roads like a bicycle.

Hahaha. Love the bicycle expression bro. One thing that shocked me was that in a poll conducted by Mumbai Mirror (leading mumbai tabloid) 100% of mumbai said they would buy the bicycle... Er. Sorry again. The nano. Mumbai with snail speed traffic just cannont handle that.

I dont think tata cares about its affects. I think the reason to limited number is that the car production aint full swing yet. Once that gets in place it will be like

"hum do, hamaray do aur hamaray nano"

I dont know bout Delhi. But in Mumbai the nano will be the safest. Safer than walking. You can get hit by a car when crossing a road. But when you drive in a nano the max speed will be like 1 kmph. The entire family crammed in that little buggy are the safest place they can be!

Nano being that cheap is undoubtedly the strongest reason for *everybody* who has just dreamt of owning a car, make a reality. In the coming years, we might see Nano overflowing the roads, or might not? (Technology's never still, who knows what we see tomorrow)

I dont think tata cares about its affects.

And why would they? They are just here to make money, its their business after all.

I really can't understand if this is what we call progress? Being able to produce the cheapest car in the world and let every man own a car? What about environment degradation, what about the natural resources depletion? Is there a limit to all this?

anyways, I personally, am not AT ALL a fan of this toy car.

I haven't booked it till now. I doubt that the car will be able to give a real performance on Indian roads and once it proves its metal, I may go for it.
