why people choose not to vote??????

I guess they're just being lazy. They interpret the voting day as a national holiday.

Ur right but just let me tell u that the government makes it so tough to get a voter id card.I had so many problems just getting it!!

yeah.....true....getting the voter ID card is a problem in itself...the site jago re does help in making things easier...still....it becomes a bother for people...

i think the main reason is that the people are very negligent and they think that their vote won't make a difference at all, which is not true..

people have been disillusioned with the politics but now is the time to change.. and yes they also thinks it does not makes a difference

Reason for not voting differs from person to person, i will give you 1 instance: during last year's election in tamil nadu (madurai) my friend went for Voting, there m.k.Alagiri (son ok m.karunanathi) and his followers told my friend that "dont worry we already voted for you, now you go and take rest in your house" (in a rude manner ) , so he came home as he cant challenge them, if he had challenged them then its RIP but
when he told me this i was , but on the serious note this is just one instance iam giving you, now just imagine how many million votes are wasted like this, using power to their advantage and if a person can be sent back from voting booth in front of election commision officials, how do you expect people to trust democracy & voting process in india, as expected my friend told he wont go and vote this time

VOTE FOR ANYONE IN POLITICS IS WASTE.EVERYONE IS FRAUD.BETTER WE CAN GO FOR PRESIDENT RULE.....

If someone like Abdul kalam was contesting in each and every constituency..we'll have 100% voter turnout...but the contestants that we have to vote for are frauds..do you think people will fall into trap knowing that trouble is inside...absolutely no use..!Better not to vote for useless ones...I can vote..but I wont Vote for worthless ones..tell the political to make Good educated ones stand for the elections..I'll vote..
