Heard the name but haven't watched even the first part yet. Trailor looks exciting though.

Reasons For Buying A Vita The launch of Sony's PS Vita has been met with the sort of enthusiasm that's typically reserved for blind dates at the Olive Garden and tax preparation. Aside from some nice hardware and a software lineup that dutifully checks all the boxes in the portable PlayStation launch checklist, the pricey unit isn't exactly turning heads. So why would someone buy a Vita? * The best of both worlds: Terrible iPad-like games with clumsy touch interface elements (including lots of drivel from Gameloft), and $30-$50 price tags. * The Vita has an enormous touch-sensitive pad on the back. The future of gaming is accidentally rubbing the pad and fucking up a game simply by holding the device like a normal person. * I want to spend some money on a flashy present for my loudmouth kid, but I don't want to have to worry about buying him games very often. See also: Nintendo 3DS * Oh man, Uncharted on the PS3 was great. I want that, only sort of awkward, not as good, and without any real thought as to how the series' strengths can be represented on new hardware. * I think the screen is beautiful, the hardware is really cool, and a coconut fell on my head, making me forget how that worked out for the PSP. * Good interfaces? Hate them. What I want is a different slow-loading app for every basic system-level function that other people expect to flick through without any hassle. * One of my favorite things about gaming is load times. I've been really happy with the shitty user experience in the Xbox 360 and PS3, but the games only occasionally take forever to load. I want to know for a fact that no matter which game I decide to play, I will have plenty of time to sit at a load screen and really relish my experience. * You know how people make fun of Nintendo for rehashing their franchises even though there is usually at least some marked attempt to mix things up with each installment? I'm really glad they overlook Wipeout. If more people turned their criticism toward the series, it might actually change and become a substantial experience. Phew. Dodged a bullet once again. * Really holding out hope that the device will eventually support my UMD collection. I have a copy of Little Man that's just waiting to be squinted at. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Classic Dresses;Classic Bridesmaid Dresses;Wedding Dresses with Sleeves
