Thumbs up Bachelor of Foreign Trade
What do you think of Bachelor's of Foreign Trade (B.F.T.) as a career. I hope you have heard of the name atleast. It deals with studies in imports/exports and international business kind of.

My brother has joined BFT program at a university in Pune. Would be going for Masters in Foreign Trade later.

Anybody pursuing it, or planning to?

One of the mates in my neighbourhood has just completed BFT this year from Pune only. I just talked to her yesterday. She is going for MBA in International Business rather than MFT. As she said, MBA(IB) has better scope and demand than MFT in India.

Well an MBA in international business will have better value not just in India but if you plan to pursue employment or entrepreneurship in a foreign country as well. Bachelor's in Foreign Trade is not commonly known and it may confuse certain employers.

It is the good and very unique sector to make your career. The foreign trade is really good and if you are interested in custom and export procedure the documentation is also a good to learn. Some of the institution are running these courses at some nominal fees.
