we have not yet lost our culture, its just the people who are adopting other cultures according to their will and wish. INDIA is a democratic and secular country where every indian has his own freedom to live according to his or her wish.

More than 75 percent people in India still following our Indian culture. Only people in cities started to adopt Western Culture. Even Western People Interested in Indian culture. I think this is the great thing about Indian culture.

Its not true that we are losing our culture and forgetting the norms totally. Its just that we are upgrading with time. Why is the western culture blamed everytime? We are just adapting with the new environment, upgraded culture with latest trends and lifestyle. It should not be confused by saying "We have lost our culture". Do you expect to live 2010 like 1980?

Don't we touch our parent's/elders feet today, don't we celebrate Indian festivals. I think there is nothing that we have lost.

Indians are highly impressed with western culture that's why we use to say that we are losing our traditions and culture.
We celebrates new year on first January, can you tell me how many peoples know about Indian New year celebration I means When it should be celebrate? When it comes?,What is "Chaitra Pratipada" and why it celebrates ?
Every buddy knows Western Calender, how many knows Indian Calender?
Every buddy knows ED's ,how many knows "Vikram Samvat"?
Most of the people shy when they use to speak their regional languages or Hindi but feel proud when speaking English in front of local peoples too.

I am not against all these too but want to say If you are unaware with your own tradition and culture then how can you say like above.

Hi...

As indians are more concentrating on western culture, they are loosing their own indian culture..
But there is no that much loss because we indians are learning lot of things from western culture.
For example women are no slaves today in india because western culture is brought into our tradition..

Even though most of the Indians are adopting western culture. I don't this will effect Indian culture. But,it's parents responsibility to make children aware about Indian culture. Besides, parents should guide their children to respect own country's culture and implement it in life.
