Yes My dear friend. I know about Tamil. There is article known as Tholkapiyam. This is the very oldest article found than any other article in any languages around world. This article was written by Tholkappiyar. You can find the exact culture of Tamil people in this article.

TAMIL is the oldest no question asked friend

@vasishta's,azap,shalini -->> if sanskrit is the oldest then why did the government give the classical lang status to TAMIL 1st in 2004, for your info sanskrit got this status only in 2005 that too because of pressure friends, bitter pill to sallow lol

Another point, Now tell me which lang is almost dead, we all know the answer sankrit is extinct now, only in rituals if you feel sanskrit is the oldest then why dont you speak in sankrit ah ? if you reply here doesnt mean that you luve your lang, i mean it, on the other hand talk about TAMIL we are just over 80 million so no contest here really .

there is lott FOR TAMIL and lot AGAINST Sanskrit, even now you still believe sanskrit is the oldest then i have to show you some proof :

plz check these links :

Tamil Brahmi script in Egypt : 1st century

http://www.hinduonnet.com/2007/11/21...2158412400.htm

Tamil-Brahmi inscription on pottery found in Thailand: 1st century

http://www.hindu.com/2006/07/16/stor...1603952000.htm

there can be lot more than this, i have posted proof upto my knowledge now just think if 1st century pots are found in Egypt & thailand just imagine how developed they would have been in sailing and art, pottery not only that Tamil kings rules most of south asia if you dont trust me just google it or wikipedia you will gwt answers ( you cab see similarities b/w lang of thailand and tamil and some of their places are named in tamil, now as we all know a language cant be created overnight so as per above links TAMIl surely is more than 3000 -4000 year old infact should be more than that, but its anyones guess, i think i have said me points clearly, hope you reply sensible and with proof.

btw : this is my 1st post in this forum, now welcome me lol
